Are you a true entrepreneur at heart, or simply a wanna-be entrepreneur (wantrepreneur) who just can’t quite manage to pull it off? We’re sure it’s the former, but just in case – here are the main differences between the two.
Belief
Entrepreneurs have confidence and a strong belief in themselves but, unlike wantrepreneurs, they know that the business doesn’t revolve around them. They understand the power of teamwork and realise that it plays a massive role in securing and maintaining success.
Progress
A true entrepreneur is always looking upward and taking action to ensure progress, no matter how small that progress may be. Wantrepreneurs secretly hope that things will fall into their laps and will often complain when the going gets tough (which it inevitably will).
Failure
Entrepreneurs learn from their mistakes and their ‘failures’ as they aim to grow their business. They use these dips throughout the journey to fuel their determination to continue forward, while wantrepreneurs will become easily discouraged and give up when things don’t quite go the way they’d planned.
Growth
An entrepreneur’s main goal is to grow their business and to become the best of the best within their industry. For wantrepreneurs, it is all about the bottom line. They want to earn as much money as they possibly can, often making customer experience a second priority in the process.
Adaptability
Entrepreneurs are well aware of how quickly things can change internally within their business, as well as externally from a market perspective. They are quick to adapt and perhaps even find opportunities for growth and progression in these changes. Wantrepreneurs are noticeably thrown by any changes that occur and will be hesitant to adapt, often resulting in them being left behind and their business taking a sizeable knock.
