Tell us about your business?
McCollet Paper Bloom is a creative brand that transforms ordinary paper into extraordinary floral art. We specialize in handcrafted paper flowers for events, gifts, and décor, bringing beauty and sustainability together. Each bloom is made with love, precision, and a touch of magic.
What inspired your entrepreneurial activities?
I’ve always been drawn to creativity and nature. During lockdown, I started experimenting with paper crafts and discovered a passion for making flowers that never wilt. Seeing how much joy they brought to others inspired me to turn it into a business. I wanted to create something beautiful, meaningful, and lasting—and McColle Paper Bloom was born.
What are the biggest challenges you face in your business?
One of the biggest challenges I face is balancing my schoolwork with running the business. It can be tough to manage time and stay consistent with orders and marketing. I also sometimes struggle to find affordable, high-quality materials for my paper flowers. But every challenge teaches me something new, and I’m learning to stay focused and keep growing.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I see McColle Paper Bloom growing into a well-known brand across South Africa. I hope to have a dedicated studio space, a small team of passionate creatives, and partnerships with event planners and gift shops. I also want to host workshops to teach others how to make paper flowers and inspire more young entrepreneurs to follow their dreams.
