A lot has been asked about what sets people aside. Take two friends from the same school; in a decade, one can be a junkie or perhaps trying to hustle and be employed until they retire. Another can be a world acclaimed entrepreneur.
Some accredit it to resilience, the ability to bend back into shape after great pressure and challenges. Others say it could have something to do with belief in God or a supernatural force providing inner strength and yet others will say it is sheer luck. The list of theories is endless.
The importance of KNOW:
- Life is seasonal: Winter and Summer are both part of the cycle of life. If it is dark and seems like an endless night, the sun will return in the morning. Don’t you dare give up when it’s tough. Stay in the race, light will soon break forth.
- “My time will come”: No one may believe in you right now, today, but your hour/day will come.
- Be multi-skilled: You’ve got to explore all your talents and interests. Read books that will increase your general knowledge. Ask those in industry.
- Do it afraid: Just show up, even when you are scared. Do it afraid! Do it discouraged! Do it despondent! Just make sure that you do it, regardless.
- You’ve got to fail, dismally: Don’t be afraid to fail, that’s how you learn.
- Don’t be too complicated, learn from nature: Look at little babies, they fall, they get up, they fall – but they carry on until they master how to sit, crawl, stand, walk, run, sprint… and fly!
- Never underestimate the dynamite energy within you: Get to the healing pool. Be engrafted on The Rock. Even when counted out, or found to be wanting… It’s not “The End,” but rather “To be continued…”
